I’m going to make this super quick, as there’s people reading this who will have no idea what’s happening or who I am.

Hello! I am the author and comedian Marc Burrows, and this is my newsletter. I used to host it on a service called Revue, which was owned by Twitter. Unfortunately, Twitter has closed down Revue with no warning (or at least n warning that I received) and deleted everything. I have lost somewhere close to 3,000 subscriber emails – a community I’ve spent nearly four years building

This afternoon, I’ve been trying to piece together my subscriber list by going through subscriber emails and exporting emails from old mailing lists and my webstore. It’s very, very possible it has included some names who didn't opt in to be on a mailing list, or perhaps unsubscribed at some point.

If you don’t want to receive these emails, please unsubscribe and I am so sorry to bother you. If you would like to stay on the list then congratulations, you don’t have to do anything.

Here’s what you can expect if you choose to stay

A monthly email (starting this weekend) with:

• A hopefully funny essay on something happening in my life/the world

• Links to articles I’ve written that month for various publications

• Recommendations of new music, books, videos and podcasts

• Updates on live appearances

• Updates on books I’m writing

• An excerpt from a work in progress book.

There will be lots of music nerd, film nerd, book nerd and general nerd-nerd content. And quite a lot about Terry Pratchett, David Bowie, Marc Bolan and the Manic Street Preachers.
